Welcome to the 3rd Grade French website! This site is designed to allow you to practice and reinforce the vocabulary, expressions and songs we study in class. It will also be a resource for additional exploration of the French-speaking world.
Many of the links you will find here will take you to a Quizlet activity. Take some time to explore how Quizlet works. It is an excellent learning tool that offers myriad activities that help you master spelling, meaning and pronunciation. The names of the different activities appear at the top of the screen and include "Cards", "Learn", "Speller", "Test", "Scatter" and "Gravity". Quizlet also includes a very helpful audio component. In order to be sure that the audio feature is enabled, go to "Cards" and click on "On" under "Audio" on the right hand side of the screen.
I have included two types of Quizlet activities for most of our vocabulary and expressions. The first links an image to a French word or expression. The second links an image to both the French word or expression to its equivalent in English. These "French-English" exercises are marked with "FR / ANG", which stands for "français / anglais".
Note that this website is a work in progress and, as such, there will be changes made to it from time to time!
